Just a Fabulous Week so Far

I'll try to keep this post quick (and hopefully it will be my last one without pictures).

Sunday- Went shopping with my first ever Christmas bonus!!! The score: 2 new pairs of work shoes, 1 new pair of pants, a new scarf, 1 new pencil skirt, 1 new pair of shorts, 1 new top, make-up AND still 130 dollars left to buy more things!!!

Monday- Went about trying to do the name change thing. Got it done at 4 different place (still have about 15 or so left to go). Got a bunch of errands done. Got a cryptic email from my boss that he wanted to talk to me the next morning when I got to work and spent the rest of the night thinking about the potentially horrible things this might entail *. I for sure thought I was going to be yelled at, interrogated, fired or some combination of the three.

Tuesday- Got to work and went into talk with my boss. Got asked if I would like to be hired on full time!!!  Salary, health insurance, dental insurance, 401k, 3 paid vacation weeks, company credit card and stock options. Was a general bad ass at work. Got home and the new battery for my phone was waiting in the mail :) When my husband got home I found out he maybe getting a pay raise in the next week. Side note: I have been working at the company as a contractor for a year but was told I needed to defend my thesis before they would hire me on.

Wednesday- Found out that I got a significant pay raise. Also found out that as soon as I defend my thesis I will get another pay raise (written into my contract). And on top of those things there is a bonus plan set up. Was again a total BAMF at work.

I made it into the petroleum industry kiddies (As opposed to when I started working in it a year ago)!! I feel so luck/blessed/hopeful/happy/everything good that you can feel.

Now to just get that thesis done...
